Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dynamic, experienced General Manager to lead the iconic Hotel Republic San Diego, Autograph Collection-a stylish, upscale lifestyle hotel in the heart of downtown San Diego.

What You'll Do

As General Manager, you will serve as the strategic and operational leader of the hotel-driving performance, cultivating culture, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.


You will:



  • Lead all aspects of hotel operations with a focus on guest satisfaction, financial performance, and team engagement
  • Inspire and develop a high-performing leadership team across all departments
  • Drive revenue, profitability, and market positioning through strategic planning and execution
  • Ensure operational excellence across product quality, service delivery, and Marriott brand standards
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Build strong relationships with ownership, community partners, and key stakeholders
  • Lead within a union environment, ensuring positive labor relations, contract compliance, and productive team engagement
  • Act as the face of the hotel-both internally and in the local San Diego market


What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience as a General Manager or Hotel Manager in a full-service hotel environment
  • Union leadership experience required
  • Marriott brand experience strongly preferred
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L statements, budgets, forecasts, and business plans
  • Proven ability to lead teams, drive results, and elevate performance
  • Hands-on leadership style with a passion for hospitality and guest experience
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience in lifestyle or upscale independent/branded hotel environments highly valued
