ITA is seeking an Accountant to join our team in a hybrid position at our Headquarters in Newport News, VA.

The Accountant will be responsible for supporting core accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), payroll processing, and financial data entry and reconciliations. This position reports to the Accounting Manager under the Chief Financial Officer.

Perform Accounts Payable (AP) functions, including invoice processing, vendor communications, and payment tracking
• Support Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, including invoicing, tracking outstanding balances, and assisting with collections efforts
• Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable regulations
• Enter and maintain financial data in Deltek Costpoint, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Provide administrative and analytical support to the Accounting team, including reporting, research, and compliance tracking
• Support audits and financial reviews as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Three or more years of proven accounting experience
• Accounting experience within government contracting highly desired
• Communicates clearly and effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to demonstrate high level of professionalism with a variety of management levels
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Proficient in all MS Office Tools, with an ability to learn emerging technologies at a rapid pace
• Collaborates effectively across functional groups to support a positive employee experience
• Demonstrates the ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements with professionalism and composure

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience using Concur
• Experience using Deltek Costpoint
• Experience using ADP Workforce Now
