Job Description
A Time for Science - 226 West 8th Street Greenville, NC 27834 - is currently seeking a Federal Work Study Student to serve as an Environmental Education Assistant.

Job duties include:

  • Understanding and executing lesson plans for students from Kindergarten through 8th grade.
  • Leading elementary-aged students in outdoor excursions such as hiking, kayaking and exploring nature. maintaining a safe and fun learning environment.
  • Cleaning and organizing the visitor's center and Planetarium.
  • Using kind and effective classroom management strategies.
  • Welcoming guests and guardians at the front desk.


Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)

  • Experience working with children is preferred.
  • Ability to tolerate the heat, humidity, bugs that come with ENC summers is required.
  • Transportation to Grifton may be necessary.
