| Position Summary |
The Internship Program Manager organizes, implements and runs the
UNC Asheville Internship Program.
They are a member of the Employer Relations team in the Career Center and lead efforts to increase experiential learning opportunities for all
UNC Asheville students, including organizing, implementing and running the
UNC Asheville Internship Program and additional internship programs.
In support of expanded experiential learning at
UNC Asheville, the internship program manager conducts prospecting outreach with employers in person and via electronic communication. The role helps internship sites develop strong experiential learning opportunities and provides support during the internship to ensure a smooth process throughout. The internship program manager follows up with employers after internships to maintain the relationship and develop future opportunities.
The internship program manager also serves as a career coach for students pursuing internships, helping students to develop career goals, competitive resumes, interviewing skills. This role continues to coach and track internship students after the internship to strong post-graduate outcomes.

Master's degree and at least one year of student development experience. May also consider a bachelor's degree with 3 years of project management or Human Resources (talent acquisition, employee relations, generalist, etc.), and/or student development experience. |

- Ability to gather and analyze outcomes data to evaluate and improve programs.
- Experience with internship programs and HR is a plus.
