Description
Summary: The Workforce Management Specialist II supports staffing processes within the Strategic Workforce Planning Center of Excellence. This role supports requisition management, position control, and adherence to CHRISTUS policies and HR best practices. They collaborate with leaders across departments to verify budgetary and organizational accuracy, ensuring staffing aligns with operational and productivity standards. This role requires building trusted business relationships to enhance operational and patient care outcomes. Responsibilities:
- Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Supports workforce planning practices to promote a high-performance culture emphasizing quality, productivity, and high patient care standards within the department.
- Uses written and verbal communication skills to advise senior-level clients on workforce planning process recommendations and best practices, leading both internal and client-facing review sessions focused on processes and deliverables.
- Collaborates with leadership in the implementation and management of organizational design and structure to meet enterprise needs effectively.
- Assists in forecasting staffing requirements based on historical data, trends, and projected volume to ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Guides leaders through workforce optimization reviews, ensuring the best utilization of existing staff and adherence to the approval process for additional staffing requests.
- Provides guidance on correct organizational structure and compliance with FLSA, tax regulations, and other human resources governance standards.
- Manages and maintains relationships with clients and client leadership teams, overseeing correspondence and reporting.
- Analyzes the impact of mass changes or reorganization requests, working with business and leadership teams through the governance process.
- Ensures alignment of departmental positions with budgetary and allocation guidelines.
- Proactively audits position and work assignment data, developing reports and making recommendations based on findings.
- Resolves escalated inquiries within agreed-upon SLAs.
- Maintains comprehensive knowledge of CHRISTUS Labor Council Policies, Processes, and Procedures.
- Works independently with minimal direction.
- Serves as a subject matter expert for HR, Talent Acquisition, and hiring managers regarding position management and organizational structures.
- Assists with training team members as needed.
- Must have problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Job Requirements: Education/Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
- Experience with data systems and data visualization platforms like Power BI required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, web applications, and Outlook required.
- Experience with HRIS preferred.
Experience
- 2-4 years' experience in Human Resources, Talent Management, Workforce Planning, data analytics, or related field required.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
- Human Resources Certification preferred.
Work Schedule: 8AM - 5PM Monday-Friday Work Type: Full Time
