Job Summary

The Class B Delivery Driver is responsible for safely operating box trucks, flatbed trucks, and midsize delivery vehicles to transport plumbing, HVAC, and pipe products to customer locations. This role focuses primarily on driving and delivery operations while also supporting loading and unloading activities as needed. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, customer-focused, dependable, and capable of managing delivery documentation and DOT compliance requirements in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Job Responsibilities



  • Safely operate 26-foot box trucks, flatbed trucks, and midsize delivery vehicles to complete scheduled deliveries.
  • Deliver plumbing, HVAC, and pipe products to customer locations accurately and on time.
  • Load and unload delivery materials using pallet jacks, two-wheel dollies, and sit-down forklifts as needed.
  • Ensure materials are properly secured and transported within legal weight limits.
  • Validate delivery routes and directions to ensure efficient delivery operations.
  • Obtain customer signatures and maintain accurate delivery documentation.
  • Communicate with supervisors regarding route progress, delivery status, and operational updates.
  • Pick up customer returns and verify product accuracy for return processing.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Report vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, violations, or defects promptly.
  • Maintain compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
  • Fuel delivery vehicles as necessary and maintain cleanliness and professionalism of assigned equipment.
  • Assist with warehouse loading and operational support when needed.
  • Provide professional customer service and maintain a positive customer-facing presence at all times.
  • Support overtime and additional operational needs as required.


Job Requirements



  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Class B commercial driving experience required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Required DOT self-certification designation (non-excepted interstate) and proof required.
  • Experience operating box trucks, flatbed trucks, or similar delivery vehicles preferred.
  • Ability to operate pallet jacks, two-wheel dollies, and sit-down forklifts safely.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Comfortable using smartphones for communication, routing, and delivery tasks.
  • Ability to load, unload, and secure materials safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules effectively.


Work Experience



  • Minimum of 1 year of Class B commercial driving experience required.
  • Experience in delivery, logistics, warehouse, or distribution operations preferred.
