Hourly Pay Range:

$22.14 - $33.21 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Donor Services Specialist

The Donor Services Specialist will work as a member of the Endeavor Health foundations' Philanthropy Operations team to drive the foundations' philanthropic growth and enhance revenue raised in support of Endeavor Health initiatives. Areas of philanthropic support include patient care, community wellbeing, innovative research, and training the next generation of clinicians and staff.

Endeavor Health's foundations seek a detail-oriented and collaborative team member to support gift processing, acknowledgement, complex donor reporting and precise record management across Endeavor Health's foundations. Working with foundations' team members and the Philanthropy Operations team, the Specialist must be a customer-service driven, organized problem-solver who proactively drives efficient solutions and ensures exceptional donor experiences by solutioning and fulfilling the execution and maintenance of consistent, high-quality data and daily workflows, which inform reporting and analytics needs across the foundations' teams to achieve fundraising goals.

What you will do:

  • Responsible for independently executing timely and accurate processing of all gifts and pledges across Endeavor Health foundations' teams into the donor CRM in a consistent and efficient manner. Generate and distribute acknowledgments and receipts in compliance with IRS regulations, Philanthropy Communications branding standards and Endeavor Health foundations' philanthropic stewardship goals within two (2) business days of receipt to ensure prompt donor appreciation.

  • Ensure actionable items are resolved accurately, timely and by project deadlines, such as CRM maintenance and enhancement integrations; fiscal audits; ad hoc, complex donor report, fund summary, KPI and invitation and impact report list requests; document merge template and global updates and batch gift processing.

  • In tandem with the Donor Services Manager, Philanthropy Operations, foundations and Finance teams, address colleague, prospect and donor inquiries promptly, professionally and courteously, including tribute gift reports; ensure timely follow up on pledge commitments with donors; process complex gifts with attention to detail, such as stocks, wires, Donor Advised Funds, payroll donations, Philanthropic Gift Agreements, matching gifts, Charitable Gift Annuities, estates and trusts.

  • In tandem with the Philanthropy Operations team, conduct routine reconciliation of donor records with Finance Department to maintain alignment and accuracy with donor intent and gift details. Partner with IT to update financial systems or other technical workflows as necessary for complete reconciliation and reporting interdependencies.

  • Ensure data integrity by overseeing the maintenance of accurate CRM, electronic gift backup and hardcopy donor and prospect records, updating CRM records with most current details and opt out preferences, executing frequent CRM donor audits, organizing and leading update projects to ensure data accuracy to inform efficient and reliable reporting. Utilize all necessary and available tools for successful donor and prospect data analysis and reporting, factoring in the full donor relationship to prospect, gift processing & stewardship process decisions.

  • Partner with Analytics & Reporting and Donor Services leadership to maintain and advise on scalable processes that ensure best practices in data integrity and cross-functional team data management to achieve ongoing philanthropic revenue growth and other strategic initiative goals. Communicate recommendations to advance business solutions through clear written and verbal presentations and explanations.

  • Ensure data handing is completed with discretion and aligns with best practices, regulatory requirements, PCI standards, HIPAA and privacy laws. Proactively maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures to document consistent data workflows to ensure reliable outputs; train teams with ongoing updates.

  • Other relevant duties as required to support the foundations' teams, donor development and outreach.

What you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required, in Fundraising, Finance, Technology, Statistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

  • Certification: Salesforce Associate certificate preferred.

  • Experience:

    • 3+ years' experience with Salesforce or other CRM is preferred.

    • 5+ years' experience working with data in a development shop or consumer or donor centric setting is required, with an inherent joy of working with data and donors to be successful.

  • Unique or Preferred Skills:

    • Proficiency with MS Office and proactively working with Salesforce or similar CRM is required.

    • Tech-savvy and avid learner with a keen interest in fundraising, nonprofit trends, data and donor relations.

    • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal and communication skills.

    • Demonstrated ability to relate and interact warmly and professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including system leadership, cross-departmental partners, vendors, prospects and discerning donors.

    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately and with discretion.

    • Excels at multi-tasking, goal setting, accountability, attention to detail and workload prioritization.

    • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrated ability to relate well to individuals from diverse backgrounds.

    • Must be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and proactively address challenges in a fast-paced, emerging and dynamic environment with ongoing deadlines.

    • Ability to constructively accept and process feedback and a collaborative working style.

    • Continuously seek ways to improve processes, increase efficiencies and actively pursue professional development opportunities.
