Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Engineering Project Coordinator to provide critical support for our engineering department. In this role, you will bridge the gap between administrative management and technical execution, helping engineers streamline project workflows, maintain documentation, and perform preliminary technical tasks. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a foundational understanding of engineering principles and a high level of organizational proficiency. This role ensures seamless collaboration across departments, driving projects from initiation through completion while assisting with maintaining compliance, technical accuracy, and timely communication.

Essential duties and responsibilities

* Project Management/Project Coordination: Assist in tracking project schedules and milestone performance. Facilitate communication between engineering teams and other departments.

* Documentation & Records: Prepare, review, and maintain technical documents, including specifications, production documentation, and project plans. Ensure all records and database systems are updated and archived correctly. Help maintain MRP system engineering and work order bill of materials.

* Technical Support: Create or modify engineering drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) based on engineer specifications.

* Administrative Tasks: Coordinate meeting agendas and record action items during project reviews.

* Drive continuous improvement efforts by enhancing documentation, standardizing processes, and increasing production efficiency.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

* Education: Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, Technology, or a related field.

* Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a technical support or engineering assistant role preferred.

* Preferred Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, GIS, etc.).

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word).

* Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and electrical layouts with accuracy.

* Demonstrate strong organizational, documentation, and attention-to-detail skills.

* Collaborate effectively with engineering and production teams.

* Apply problem-solving skills to resolve issues in a fast-paced production environment.

* Utilize ERP systems and support Bills of Material (BOM) development and maintenance.

* Apply knowledge of drawing review processes and manufacturing best practices.

* Experience working in a similar production or fabrication environment.

* Promote a continuous improvement mindset to enhance processes, documentation, and efficiency.

Other

Travel is not required but may be necessary on occasion.
