As the Senior Project Manager - Healthcare + Education,you'llleadthe planning design, permitting and delivery of complex site/civil projects across the Charlotte region and greater Carolina's market. Your role will blend technicalexpertise, strategic vision, and client engagement to expand our presence in healthcare andeducationsectors, ensuring consistent excellence in project execution. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, a mentor to staff, and a visible representative of the firm within the Charlotte healthcare andinstitutionaldevelopment community.

In this role, you will partner with architects and design teams to see projects from concept to construction. WhatYou'llDo



  • Direct healthcare-focused civil engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, healthcarecodesand client expectations
  • Developandimplement strategies to expand the firm's healthcare market presence,leveragingindustry knowledge, market trends, and client/architect relationships
  • Partner with architects, healthcare administrators, mechanical engineers, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver facilities that enhance patient care, operational efficiency, and sustainability
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, staffing, and quality control to deliver successful outcomes on time and within scope
  • Lead an engineering team to execute healthcare projects, fostering professional growth and technical excellence
  • Leadpermittingefforts, working with local agencies and municipalities to ensuretimelyapprovals and compliance with applicable regulations. Address agency comments andfacilitatesite permitting processes.
  • Coordinate and collaboratewith internal disciplines, technical specialists, and subconsultants to deliver quality outcomes. Represent the firm at conferences, client meetings, and community engagements to strengthen partnerships, visibility, and thought leadership.
  • Identifyand mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and healthcare facility standards.


WhatYou'llBring



  • Four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or related fieldrequired
  • EI required; PE or on track to obtaining PE strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of civil engineering experience with significant exposure to healthcare or campus projects
  • Proventrack recordmanaging complex, multidisciplinaryprojectsand leading diverse teams.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare facility design standards, site development, utilities, stormwater management, and environmental considerations
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills to engage stakeholders and build trust.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary architect teams, including building and site mechanical engineers.
  • Experience in various project delivery models including traditional design-bid-build, design-build, CMAR, etc.
  • Ability toidentifymarket opportunities, develop business strategies, and contribute to firm-wide growth initiatives.

  • Work will primarily be in an office setting with limited opportunities to be exposed to adverse environmental conditions

  • Must be able to carry,liftand push/pull up to 5 poundsfrequentlyand up to 30 pounds occasionally
