| Job Summary |
The University of Texas at Dallas is seeking to fill the position of Residential Life Coordinator - Andromeda Hall. This is a full-time professional position that shares responsibility with other full-time staff members for facilitation to a comprehensive student development program for on-campus apartments and five residence halls housing approximately 5,500 students.
The purpose of this position is to provide additional supervision and oversight for our residential students through development and programmatic efforts.
This position is a full-time, live-on, non-exempt position that reports to the Assistant Director of Residential Life - University Commons. This position will also have work responsibilities that will occur outside normal business hours.

| Minimum Education and Experience |
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience working with college students or adolescents in an advisory, administrative, or educational capacity. |
| Preferred Education and Experience |
- Three to five years experience in residential life, student affairs, student advising, higher education administration, or similar work responsibilities
- Master's degree
- Must have valid driver's license
- Some experience with Microsoft Office suite

To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.

| Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
- Supervise one full-time assistant residential life coordinator, 34 peer advisors, and 966 residents;
- Perform supervisory responsibilities in a manner consistent with departmental, institutional, and legal expectations to ensure individualized professional development is provided, communication flows (informal and formal) and subordinates are abiding by the same standards;
- Participate in University and department conduct processes, abide by established standards including documenting potential violations, adjudicating violations of housing policies and student code of conduct, administer hearings, apply sanctions when appropriate, educate residents on policies, and adjudicate repeat offenses;
- Facilitate and advise staff on effective and appropriate area programmatic efforts including submitting program proposals, shopping for items needed, reporting attendance numbers, and submitting program evaluations;
- Mediate and facilitate conversations between conflicting parties within the scope of housing and residential life;
- Support Housing Operations, Housing Administration, Assessment and Guest Housing, Living Learning Communities, and Business Services;
- Participate in the Peer Advisor training serving 154 peer advisors which includes developing and delivering training seminars and providing guidance to staff on in-area and seminar work for fall, summer, and spring processes;
- Participate in the Peer Advisor selection process including reviewing applications, interviewing candidates, and providing guidance to staff on selection;
- Participate in on-call duty rotation including serving as first responder to incidents, reporting incidents via telephone tree and Maxient;
- Summer Assignment: Guest Housing;
- Serve as a campus security authority under the Clery Act;
- Serve as a responsible employee under Title IX; and
- Other duties as assigned.

- Must obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of employment start date and maintain an acceptable driving record during employment to drive a UT Dallas-owned vehicle or golf cart.
- May be required to report to on-site work location during campus closure.
- May be required to report to on-site work location during inclement weather.
Work is performed on-site and in-person.
