Parker Lord's Dayton facility manufactures passive vibration mounts for commercial and military aerospace applications. Position Summary

  • Machine aerospace components to required quality standards at expected production levels by following all required processes and instructions

Qualifications

  • Operates mills and lathes to perform basic machining functions while obtaining additional skills and knowledge including the ability to perform successful setups, troubleshooting, etc.
  • Will train effectively to machine aerospace components to required quality standards at expected production levels by following all required processes and instructions
  • Completes necessary paperwork and documentation to ensure quality conformance and the proper movement and control of product
  • Completes all quality related inspection requirements
  • Actively participates in High Performance Teams and Continuous Improvement activities
  • Adheres to all safety guidelines and procedures
  • Other assignments as required
  • Understands and demonstrates comprehension of drawings, blueprints and Manufacturing Work Instructions

  • Must be detail oriented to keep accurate records and notes.

  • Demonstrates respect for others and the training process

  • Demonstrated ability to solve technical problems with limited information

  • Able to communicate effectively with management, and co-workers to promote strong working relationships and create an environment focused on teamwork

  • Flexible with work and job assignments and willing to perform any function as needed

  • Must be dependable and available to work overtime when required

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook

  • Self-motivated and ability to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision
  • Willingness to work 2nd shift

  • Ability to carry/ lift up to 35 lbs. (50% of the time). Must have the ability to stand, kneel, squat, stoop, use fingers and hands to feel, lift or handle tools, parts and equipment.

Required

  • Minimum 1 year of CNC machining experience, formal education or a combination of education and experience
  • 2 + years of machining experience and or education preferred

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Formal training and/or education in Machining
