About the Role

McKesson is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a team of frontline specialists supporting reimbursement programs for pharmaceutical products. In this role, you will provide day-to-day operational leadership, resolve escalated reimbursement issues from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies, and ensure your team consistently meets performance and service level expectations. You will collaborate with internal and external partners to drive quality outcomes and optimal coverage for the patients and providers we serve.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Lead daily operations by providing real-time support to frontline staff, addressing escalated issues and complex cases from healthcare providers and patients

  • Monitor quality and accuracy by reviewing telephone calls and case documentation to ensure team output meets established standards

  • Track and manage performance against established KPIs and service level expectations at both the individual and team level

  • Coach and develop staff through regular feedback sessions, one-on-one coaching, and cross-training initiatives

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments and external business partners to support ongoing reimbursement activities and quality improvement efforts

  • Administer policies consistently and fairly in alignment with company and local business unit standards

  • Other duties may be assigned as needed to meet Company goals

Basic Requirements

  • Typically requires 3+ years of subject matter experience including exhibiting leadership capabilities

Critical Skills/Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in a lead or supervisory capacity, including direct oversight of frontline staff in a healthcare setting

  • Healthcare operations background with 2+ years of experience in a healthcare or related field

  • Medical verification / front-end reimbursement experience, including insurance verification (deductibles, out-of-pocket, coverage levels) and benefit investigation processes

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Knowledge of Prior Authorization and Appeal Processes

  • Knowledge of Medical Billing (J-codes, HCPCS codes) and experience working with pharmacy vs. medical benefits

  • Familiarity with HUB Services (patient onboarding, case management)

Physical Requirements

  • This is a hybrid role based out of our Cary, NC office. You will work on-site a minimum of two (2) days per week, with the remaining days worked remotely. In-office days may vary based on team needs and business priorities.

    Core working hours are 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM EST, however, flexibility is required to be available between 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM EST as business needs arise.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. $49,900 - $83,100
