The Recreation Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional guest service while assisting with daily recreational activities and amenities throughout the resort. This position helps create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for guests by supporting pool operations, beach activities, games, events, and recreational programs.


Essential Functions

  • Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner while delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Set up, monitor, and maintain recreational areas, including pool decks, beach areas, activity stations, and equipment.
  • Organize and assist with daily resort activities, games, and special events for guests of all ages.
  • Distribute and collect recreational equipment such as bicycles, beach chairs, towels, games, and sports equipment.
  • Ensure all recreation areas are clean, organized, and safe at all times.
  • Enforce resort safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist guests with questions regarding resort activities, amenities, and schedules.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report damaged or missing equipment.
  • Maintain professionalism and positive guest interactions at all times.
  • Support other departments as needed to ensure excellent guest experiences.


Qualifications

  • Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds for extended periods.
  • Must be energetic, dependable, and team-oriented.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings required.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).


Working Environment

  • Outdoor resort and recreation areas.
  • Exposure to sun, heat, humidity, and pool/beach environments.
  • Fast-paced hospitality setting with frequent guest interaction.
