This position supports the operational and functional areas of Meijer by providing financial analysis and proactive business partnering to their designated support areas. Establishes, interprets, analyzes and presents complex accounting and financial information, while working under minimum supervision.

What You'll be Doing:

  • Creates and evaluates strategic financial models of proposed business solutions (ROI's, BVA's, Proforma's)
  • Provides financial support to the operational and functional business areas they support and serves as their business partner
  • Provides proactive guidance on business performance and appropriate financial solutions
  • Analyzes complex business and financial issues and summarizes insights clearly and effectively for internal stakeholders
  • Creates and evaluates performance scorecards of different business activities
  • Creates new processes and leads process improvements on large-scale cross-functional projects

Real Estate Financial Support

  • Partners with Real Estate and cross-functional teams to provide financial oversight of real estate and property-related activities
  • Maintains alignment between MRI and SAP, including mapping updates, issue resolution, and reconciliations
  • Manages CAM processes, including tracking, forecasting, reconciliation, and collection support
  • Monitors tenant receivables and supports resolution of outstanding balances and collectability
  • Develops ROI models and proformas for real estate investments, including outlot and self-development opportunities
  • Supports rental income reporting, planning, and forecasting
  • Provides reporting and analysis for outlot sales and other property dispositions
  • Develops and maintains consolidated Real Estate P&L reporting, including rental income and property transactions
  • Delivers variance analysis and actionable insights on Real Estate performance

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of accounting or financial-related business experience
  • Exceptional communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP and its application
  • Strong financial modeling capabilities
  • Project management skills a plus
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, and ability to work across multiple business systems
  • Extensive knowledge of retail department functions and their impact on financial statements

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting real estate finance, capital planning, or lease/tenant-related financial processes

The pay range for this position is listed below.

$74,750.00 - $117,250.00

This pay range represents the minimum and maximum base pay for the position, which is determined by factors such as market data, the qualifications required, the level of responsibilities associated with the role and other roles at this same level. Your specific pay rate within this range will be based on your experience, qualifications, and skills compared to the internal team you'll be joining.
