Job Summary The Systems Administrator installs, configures, secures, and maintains Windows enterprise server environments within an Active Directory environment, ensuring system reliability and supporting enterprise applications. The role manages enterprise-level software and virtualization platforms, responds to service outages, and troubleshoots systems and applications. Additional responsibilities include maintaining technical documentation, coordinating with vendors, supporting network configurations and data requests, providing staff training, updating IT policies, assisting with projects, evaluating new technologies, performing light scripting, and completing other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in information technology or related field and two years of systems and application administration experience in area related to assignment. OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree, education, certification and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered. Desired Qualifications A. One (1) years or more managing and supporting virtual infrastructures in an enterprise environment B. Experience with troubleshooting and resolving server and workstation application issues in an AD enterprise environment. C. Experience within Unix / Linux environment including: System/application, configuration, trouble-shooting, patching, and securing. D. Experience in a higher education environment E. One (1) year of relevant full-time MCCCD experience during the previous two years Special Working Conditions
