Job Summary Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) is hiring a One-Year-Only (OYO) member to join the program beginning in the 2026-2027 academic year. This position will serve as the lead block 4 faculty for complex care, responsible for delivering didactic instruction while providing clinical oversight to ensure alignment with program outcomes, accreditation standards, and the preparation of students for safe, competent practice. This position is integral to supporting student success and maintaining high-quality instructional experiences across block 4 and the program. Essential Functions
Minimum Qualifications 1. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree plus three (3) years of full-time equivalent experience as a professional nurse providing direct patient care, or a BSN and a graduate degree and two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience as a professional nurse providing direct patient care, or a graduate degree in nursing and two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience as a professional nurse providing direct patient care. 2. Must hold an Arizona registered nurse license in good standing or a multi-state privilege to practice in Arizona by the first day of employment. 3. Must be able to meet health and safety requirements, including CPR certification, a Fingerprint Clearance Card, and drug testing. Desired Qualifications A. Graduate degree in Nursing B. Experience as a registered nurse with an adult population in a complex care environment. C. Experience teaching final-semester (capstone/Block 4) nursing students in a didactic setting D. Experience working within a nursing lab, knowledge of curriculum alignment to clinical nursing experience, and student assessment. E. Strong knowledge and application of simulation-based education, including high-fidelity simulation and debriefing best practices. F. Experience mentoring and supporting adjunct faculty to ensure consistency in student learning and evaluation G. One year of full-time, relevant MCCCD experience within the previous two years. Special Working Conditions Working in the classroom, lab/simulation, and various health care settings as a clinical nursing instructor, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and community agencies. Must meet the health and safety standards required for clinical faculty.
