Assistant Network Technician (Contract \| Travel Opportunity \| Entry Level) Overview We are seeking reliable and hardworking Assistant Network Technicians to support nationwide network infrastructure installation projects. This is a great opportunity for entry-level candidates looking to gain hands-on experience in network cabling and infrastructure work. This role involves supporting after-hours installations in large retail environments, working alongside experienced technicians to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities * Assist with network cable and equipment installation in ceiling spaces * Support lead technicians by: * Feeding and managing cabling * Handing tools and equipment * Maintaining organization at the job site * Help maintain a safe work environment by ensuring barriers around active work areas * Monitor surroundings to prevent unauthorized access near equipment (e.g., lifts) * Follow all safety protocols and site procedures Work Schedule & Environment * Third shift hours: 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM * Schedule: Sunday night through Friday morning * Work is performed in large commercial/retail environments * Frequent use of equipment such as ladders and scissor lifts (operated by lead technicians) * Required safety gear (hard hat and vest) will be provided Required Skills * Basic understanding of: * Cable installation * Infrastructure environments * Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing for long periods and assisting with materials * Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Preferred Qualifications * Prior experience in: * Cabling or construction environments * Warehouse, labor, or technical support roles * Familiarity with network infrastructure is a plus, but not required What We're Looking For * Dependable individuals with strong punctuality and work ethic * Willingness to learn and take direction from senior technicians * Team-oriented mindset with a focus on safety and efficiency * Flexibility to travel and adapt to different project locations Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Reading, PA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
