Job Overview: At Ingersoll Rand, this is not a "check the box" category management role - it's a seat at the table during a pivotal moment of transformation. Based in Mocksville or Charlotte, this role sits at the intersection of strategy, influence, and execution, where deep-spend analysis, market insight, and long term vision directly shape how the business performs. This is where ideas turn into impact, where category strategy becomes a catalyst for change, and where procurement is evolving into a true competitive advantage. Step into a Category Manger role within our Compression Systems and Services division owning multiple commodities and serving as the business level category leader. You will develop and drive strategic commodity roadmaps, analyze and envision the future state of spend, identify gaps and opportunities, and influence cross functional teams - without authority, but with credibility. You'll partner closely with CSS North America manufacturing sites, global category leaders, sourcing managers, engineers, suppliers, and NPD teams, helping guide decisions on sourcing strategies, supplier selection, productivity initiatives, and supplier performance. In some cases, you'll personally lead execution; in others, you'll initiate change and bring teams along through influence and alignment. This role is ideal for someone who brings more than a traditional sourcing lens; Someone who is energized by solving complex problems, influencing outcomes, and building the vision for what's next.
