Our small family-owned company in Bridgewater, MA is looking for experienced, armed security officers to join our team. The Security Officers at CNT are responsible to provide security and protection for the company's personnel and property. This is a permanent part-time position working 10-20 hours per week.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Observe, identify and inspect (where applicable) all vehicles entering or exiting the property or buildings
  • Provide physical presence for products received and shipped in dock areas and lobbies
  • Maintain continuous observations of security cameras on personnel and properties
  • Provide protection of personnel and product during the course of product transportation, both in and out of state
  • Greet visitors in a courteous and professional manner and process as needed
  • Oversee the proper lockdown procedures at the end of the day, including properly securing products and ensuring alarms are activated
  • Observe the behavior and demeanor of employees and visitors
  • Oversee drug testing of employees
  • Respond to any and all medical or fire emergencies within the property(s)
  • Required to carry a handgun while on duty
  • Performs other duties as required and assigned based on company needs

Qualifications
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 20 years' experience in public safety (i.e. law enforcement, corrections, military)
  • Investigative background preferred
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Massachusetts license to carry firearms
  • Able to obtain and maintain the legal authority to carry firearms out of state preferred
  • Maintain proficiency in firearms through certification and qualification of sidearm's, shotguns, and other weapons as assigned
  • Maintain certification in CPR & AED
  • Possess skills acquired during prior training and experience to handle responsibilities and leadership during emergency situations.
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Must maintain a Drivers License
  • Ability to be flexible in a changing work environment
  • Ability to work professionally and ethically in all circumstances
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time well
  • Must be able to able to pass an extensive background check
  • Random drug testing required
  • Fluency in English, both written and oral

Working conditions

This job operates in a professional work environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This is an open office and warehouse environment with a significant amount of background noise and movement. All locations contain cameras in all work areas and are staffed with security guards and some employees who carry firearms. This is a smoke-free work environment and drug testing is routinely done.
