Job Title: Assistant Coach, Men's Basketball Department: Athletics College/Division: General University Primary Job Posting Location: Macon, GA 31207 Additional Job Posting Locations: (Other locations that this position could be based) Job Details: Mercer University Athletics is accepting applications for an Assistant Coach for Men's Basketball. Responsibilities: The assistant coach is responsible to the head coach for all areas related to the operation of the men's basketball program. Duties include on the floor coaching, recruiting, interaction with student-athletes related to academic pursuits and any other duties assigned by the head coach. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university is required, along with prior coaching experience. Candidates with NCAA Recruiting Certificate and/or Division I coaching experience are highly desirable. The successful candidate must have working knowledge of NCAA and Southern Conference rules in relation to men's basketball. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the university's carrier as this position requires travel on behalf of Mercer University.
