XIL Framework Delivery Lead

Stellantis is undergoing a fundamental transformation driven by software and digital innovation. The Software Engineering (SWE) organization is leading this evolution by enabling next-generation vehicle experiences through scalable, high-performance development ecosystems.

The xIL Delivery Lead is a key member of the Software Engineering XIL Operational Management Team and plays a critical role in delivering and operating integrated L3 (SiL), L3+ (virtual system), and HiL platforms. This role focuses on platform ownership, deployment, and operations, enabling validation and development teams through robust, standardized xIL environments across all domains and vehicle programs.


Core Responsibilities:
xIL Platform Delivery & Deployment

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery, integration, and lifecycle management of:


    • L3 (SiL) environments for software development & integration
    • L3+ virtual platforms for system-level integration & validation
    • HiL systems for real-time embedded software deployment


  • Ensure seamless integration of software, models, toolchains, and infrastructure across all xIL levels.
  • Define and manage environment baselines, release processes, and configuration standards.
  • Deliver fully integrated xIL systems aligned with vehicle program milestones.


xIL Framework & Toolchain Management

  • Lead the management, configuration, and integration of xIL toolchains, including:


    • dSPACE, Vector VT Systems, NI, ETAS
    • MATLAB/Simulink, Modelica-based tools
    • CI/CD ecosystems (TeamCity, Git-based systems)


  • Ensure platforms are:


    • Scalable, stable, and high-performing
    • Properly versioned and release-aligned


  • Drive standardization and reuse of frameworks and tool configurations.


Operational Management

  • Contribute as a core member of the xIL Operational Management team, supporting:


    • Platform strategy and roadmap definition
    • Cross-program prioritization and capacity planning
    • Governance and operational decision-making


  • Align xIL platform delivery with Stellantis V-cycle and software release milestones.
  • Support transformation toward virtual-first validation (L3/L3+).


Customer Support & xIL Adoption

  • Act as a customer-facing delivery leader, enabling internal teams across SWE, PRS, and VE.
  • Drive adoption of xIL platforms by:


    • Supporting onboarding and environment setup
    • Providing usage guidance and best practices
    • Assisting teams transitioning to L3/L3+ environments


  • Identify and address barriers in:


    • Tool usability
    • Environment accessibility
    • Process gaps


  • Gather feedback and continuously enhance platform usability and efficiency.


Infrastructure, Performance & Operations

  • Monitor and ensure:


    • High availability and uptime of xIL platforms
    • Performance and scalability of simulation environments and HiL benches


  • Establish and track:


    • KPIs and dashboards (uptime, utilization, deployment lead time, issue resolution)


  • Drive improvements in:


    • Deployment automation
    • Infrastructure efficiency
    • Platform reliability



Financial & Resource Management

  • Own xIL CAPEX, budget planning, and cost optimization:


    • Hardware (HiL benches, compute resources)
    • Software licenses and tool investments


  • Perform resource estimation and capacity planning for global platform usage.


Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Collaborate across:


    • Software development, system engineering, validation teams
    • DevOps, IT, TPMs, and domain organizations


  • Act as technical liaison with tool vendors, managing:


    • Integration and roadmap alignment
    • Issue escalation and support coordination



Team Leadership

  • Cross functional lead
  • Build capabilities in:


    • Platform engineering
    • System integration
    • DevOps for simulation environments


  • Foster a high-performance, customer-focused engineering culture.


Key Competencies

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive software, testing, or validation environments including a minimum of 3 years managing SiL/HiL platforms, toolchains, or infrastructure
  • Strong experience with:


    • dSPACE, Vector, NI, ETAS
    • MATLAB/Simulink and model-based workflows
    • CI/CD tools (e.g., TeamCity) and Git-based systems


  • Understanding of:


    • AUTOSAR (Classic or Adaptive)
    • Functional safety (ISO 26262)


  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, or DFSS methodologies


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related field
  • Experience working within global and cross-functional teams
  • Background in platform delivery, systems integration, or DevOps environments
  • Experience with:


    • Budget planning and cost management
    • Governance, risk management, and escalation handling


  • Domain expertise in:


    • Propulsion Systems, ADAS, Infotainment, or Chassis


  • Agile/Scrum certification
