| Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit |
The University Employee Occupational Health Clinic (
UEOHC) provides occupational health care services to all full-time, part-time, and temporary employees of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The
UEOHC directs medical care for all workplace injuries/illnesses. The
UEOHC also provides pre-employment screening, annual immunization reviews, and medical surveillance for healthcare and non-healthcare workers. |
| Position Summary |
The Administrative Support Associate position supports the effective operation of the University Employee Occupational Health Clinic (
UEOHC) by ensuring accurate management and tracking of immunization and communicable disease records, including measles compliance and other required employee health surveillance activities. This role contributes to regulatory and institutional compliance through coordination and support of compliance audits, maintenance of confidential health documentation, communicable disease tracking and reporting, and support of clinical protocols and infection prevention processes. By providing reliable administrative support and high-quality customer service, the position enables efficient clinic operations, supports timely compliance monitoring, and promotes a safe and healthy workplace for university employees. The position also assists staff with other duties as necessary, including
TIM administration and related support activities when requested. |
| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. |
| Management Preferences |
* Customer Service Experience - specifically working with the public which could be by phone, email and or in-person or in a receptionist capacity.
* Experience working in a clinical setting (scheduling, assisting with public health questions, scheduling medical appointments such as physical therapy, specialist referrals, etc.).
* Experience with records management (research, report preparation, retention and/or disposition schedules, etc.).
* Experience submitting and/or filing governmental reports.
* Experience working with MS Office (word, excel, powerpoint, etc.). |

* It is a clinical environment which could require lifting, bending, reaching, stooping, and moving up to 25 lbs.
