Career growth and development General Summary: The Sterile Processing Specialist supports the daily operations of the Sterile Processing Department by assisting with the cleaning, decontamination, assembly, sterilization, storage, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical/surgical supplies. This role may also serve as a staff educator, quality assurance coordinator, service coordinator, or departmental liaison while supporting quality, safety, compliance, and process improvement efforts across the department. This position will support Sterile Processing operations at both The Johns Hopkins Hospital (JHH), 1800 Orleans Street, Baltimore, MD 21287, and Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center (JHBMC), 4940 Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21224. The Sterile Processing Specialist will float between both locations based on operational and departmental needs. Candidates must be able to reliably report to either location as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required. Shift: Full Time Day Shift Salary Range: Minimum 28.39/hour - Maximum 46.87/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
