As a **Fleet Support Engineer**, you will be at the heart of maintaining the operational excellence and continuous improvement of critical vehicle systems. This is an exciting opportunity to dive deep into complex technical challenges, collaborate with brilliant minds, and drive real-time solutions that keep a cutting-edge fleet running optimally. **What You'll Do:** * Serve as the primary point of contact for real-time escalations related to perception system and sensor issues within the fleet.
* Conduct in-depth root cause analysis through comprehensive log review to swiftly identify and resolve complex fleet issues.
* Develop, update, and meticulously maintain a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for technicians, integrating newly diagnosed faults and their resolutions.
* Perform crucial hardware bring-up and validation procedures for new sensor components, including LiDAR, radar, and cameras.
* Design and implement innovative diagnostic procedures to streamline future troubleshooting processes, with a keen focus on sensor calibration and data integrity.
* Conduct historical reviews of vehicle and fleet data, including sensor data, to proactively identify trends and emerging issues.
* Collaborate closely with engineering design teams to enhance tooling and significantly improve issue detection capabilities.
* Develop and implement effective countermeasures across the fleet to prevent recurring issues and bolster overall system resilience.
* Define and capture essential data points to validate issue resolution and accurately measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
* Engage in dynamic cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvement in vehicle performance and reliability.
* Be available for overtime as needed, with advanced notice provided, and willing to travel occasionally to support various operational locations. **What You'll Bring:** **Must-Have Qualifications:** * Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicles, with a specific focus on perception systems and sensors.
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
* Proven experience with low/high voltage circuits, Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS), and safe troubleshooting practices. * Experience with Linux programming systems for fleet-level data processing.
* A strong understanding of hardware and software systems architecture and communications to effectively support an operations setting.
* An embrace of a holistic problem-solving approach, capable of identifying issues within high-level vehicle functions and driving specific resolutions into individual components.
* A self-starter mentality with the ability to build strong relationships across various teams.
* Proficiency in comprehending schematics, electrical diagrams, and connector end views/pinouts. **Nice-to-Have Qualifications:** * Experience with electric vehicle technology.
* Experience with remotely supporting vehicle troubleshooting.
* In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems and diagnostic tools.
* Experience with software that interfaces directly with hardware.
