About this opportunity:

The Department of Special Education welcomes applications for a full-time contract faculty position beginning the Fall semester 2026.

This is a one-year non-renewable contract for the 2026-27 academic year.

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U. S. without employer sponsorship.

What you'll do and what you will bring:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teach in-person undergraduate courses in Special Education
  • Participate in departmental and program area faculty meetings; serving on department, college, or university committees
  • Maintain office hours during the week
  • Collaborate with other faculty in Special Education as appropriate
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the department chair and/or program manager(s).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MA with P-12 teaching experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of special education practices including instruction for students with disabilities, IEP processes, and inclusive practices
  • Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses
  • Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active licensure in special education related discipline
  • PhDin Special Education
  • Experience teaching at a college level/university level (specifically online format)
