Security Officer - Screening Coordinator

As a Security Officer Screening Coordinator in Carol Stream, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor access points, screen visitors and/or deliveries, and support security-related procedures with professionalism and care. You will remain visible, conduct routine observations, and help to deter incidents while delivering strong customer service and communication. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or shipments as required, and report irregular activity or policy concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and communication protocols.
• Conduct screening-related inspections of personnel, packages, and/or vehicles in accordance with location procedures to help support security-related operations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, dock areas, trailer yards, and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
