The Paint Technician is responsible for preparing and painting transformer units. Compliance with all safety requirements, product quality standards and company policies are essential functions of this role.
* High School or GED preferred * OSHA10 certified, preferred * 1 year experience in paint manufacturing, preferred * 1 year experience material handling equipment (forklift, crane, etc.), preferred * Knowledge of basic hand tools preferred * A proven track record in safety excellence is required. * Adheres to all safety and environmental compliance regulations set by the organization. Notify management immediately of any safety concerns, hazardous conditions, or injuries. * Ability to read and interpret work orders. * Meet department and production goals set by supervisor. * Ensure product quality meets company and client expectations. * Possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, cooperative attitude, strong attention to detail and can work in a team environment. * Adheres to the company's employee handbook policies and embodies the organization's core values. * Ability to learn other department job functions and fill in as needed. * Complete company compliance and safety training when required. * Ability to work a flexible schedule and work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment. * Physical requirements for this role include, but are not limited to the following: o Safety protocols require the completion and passing of a respiratory fit test o Lift 50lbs floor to waist and waist to shoulder multiple times o Standing and walking for long durations o Bending, squatting, and kneeling multiple times for long durations o The ability to climb up and down a ladder multiple times o Balance and stand on a ladder with three points of contact for extended periods of time o Comfortable working in the heat and cold due to manufacturing facilities not being climate controlled | |
