Job Description

SUMMARY

Responsibilities include performing a wide variety of tasks associated with operating machines and producing good quality parts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Troubleshoot AMO process problems
  • Set-up Lining and Assembly machines as scheduled or required
  • Set-up Vision systems and then track to ensure they continue running efficiently
  • Ensure excellent quality product on assigned machines
  • Perform TPMs
  • Prioritize production schedule based on scheduling/shipping data
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Communicate effectively regarding machine, tooling, and quality problems
  • Develop team environment on shop floor
  • Participate willingly in on-going training programs
  • Utilize basic mechanical skills
  • Follow applicable Food Safety and cGMP policies

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Previous manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Powered industrial truck operating experience strongly preferred

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Effective oral communication skills needed.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Basic computer application skills; experience with JD Edwards preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Organizational and time-management abilities
  • Basic mechanical and mathematical skills

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and various types of equipment that have vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but can be noisy. Hearing protection is required.
