Installer Technician - Construction Background

We are seeking an Installer Technician for our growing team!

This role is an integral part of our field installation group and a pivotal contributor in the continued growth of the company. It is a front-line company representative with our clients and requires a dedicated and energetic person who is results oriented and capable of professional and detailed follow through.

The Installer will work to assemble and install various fall protection systems while ensuring proper form, fit, function, and overall product quality. This role is expected to travel for extended periods of time to assemble the fall protection systems at various customer locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the assembly of various fall protection systems.
• Perform component assembly according to engineering drawings.
• Receive, unload, and transfer work material to needed areas.
• Travel for onsite installations for extended periods of time.
• Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area.
• Operate heavy equipment, power tools and perform heavy lifting tasks
• Work well with others, especially customers and co-workers
• Follow JSA's and other site-specific safety requirements.
• Maintain PPE and have it available during working hours.
• Maintain records for timecard and expense reports.
• Maintain and keep up with company tools as not to be lost or stolen.

• Ability to operate pallet jacks, standard warehouse forklifts, and manlifts.
• Possess ability to to read drawings and understand basic design layouts
• Must be able to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
• Requires the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Proficiency in English required to read safety guidelines and communicate with customers
• Ability to travel 70-90% of the time and willingness to travel extensively and remain on the road for extended periods.
• Frequently lift, push and pull objects weighing 50 - 80 pounds
• Must have basic to average math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fraction and decimal conversion).
• Must be a fast learner with excellent multitasking and problem-solving skills.
• Possess a clean driving record with the ability to drive company and rental vehicles.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug/alcohol screenings
• Must be able to work in extreme (hot, cold, wet) climates for extended periods of time

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the successful candidate must be able to work at heights attained by climbing and use of equipment. This position is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places and outside weather conditions. This position is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold and extreme heat. The employee may be required to lift up to 100 lbs. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This role is regularly required to climb stairs or ladders; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand and kneel for extended periods. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
