Terracon Consultants, Inc. seeks Senior Staff Engineer in Las Cruces, NM Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management. Integrate quality leadership practices into daily regimen. Provide consistent quality standards on proposal and project delivery. Engineering professional responsible for managing and executing small to medium projects and sometimes more complex projects. Develop the scope of work for routine projects. Prepare cost estimates, specifications, and other project related documents. Analyze data and perform engineering calculations and analysis. Coordinate and supervise field investigations, laboratory testing, and evaluation of respective data, development of recommendations. Develop plans, schedules, conduct and/or coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work. Work closely with senior-level project managers to gain project management and engineering experience. Make design recommendations, adaptations and modifications. Prepare work scope, proposals and reports and plans investigations for approval by senior level professionals for routine projects. Serve as a technical adviser to junior-level project team members. Interact with client and project teams in developing scope of services and communicating project progress. Works under the supervision of an Authorized Project Reviewer. Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, plus 3 years of related experience. In the alternative, employer will accept a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, plus 6 months of related experience. Required experience must include any amount of experience in all of the following: Writing official documents including thesis, assignments, and reports Laboratory testing related to civil engineering Applying advanced mathematical and fundamental probabilistic/statistical concepts to solve engineering problems Collaborating with a team to perform projects Must also have authority to work permanently in the U.S. Applicants who are interested in this position may apply at https://www.jobpostingtoday.com/ Ref #76882.
