Summary:

The Workplace Violence Prevention Program (WVP-P) Managerwill serve as a critical strategic partner responsible for the development, coordination, and continuous evolution of a comprehensive workplace violence prevention framework across MaineHealth. Working closely with operational leaders, clinical teams, Human Resources, Security, Legal, and other key stakeholders, the Program Manager will integrate evidence-based violence prevention strategies with threat assessment and threat management best practices to identify, assess, and mitigate risks to people, operations, and the care environment. This role is central to creating a culture of safety where team members, patients, and visitors benefit from proactive risk management, coordinated intervention, and a resilient system-wide approach to preventing workplace violence while supporting exceptional healthcare delivery.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education:Bachelor's degree in relevant field required.
  2. License/Certifications:Clinical licensure by the Maine State Board of Nursing or Social work preferred.Certified Threat Manager (CTM) preferred. Valid drivers license required.
  3. Experience:Minimum of 5 years' experience in violence prevention related work. Minimum of 3 years' program development and management level experience. Experience in healthcare with knowledge of existing and emerging risk/threat factors, mitigating strategies, and principles of trauma-informed care.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required:Ability to develop and deliver educational content to care team members to support site-level violence prevention programming.
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred:Comfort and competency developing and presenting information to various audiences.

The pay range for this position is $89,980.80to $121,721.60per year.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
