JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking aProvider Support Assistant to perform administrative responsibilities in support of the Weight Loss Clinic of Raleigh providers and patients.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Receive telephone calls and route messages appropriately to physicians, nurses, other staff and other departments to include managing voicemail inbox and clearing out messages daily.



  • Obtain medical records from referring physician offices/hospitals to include obtaining imaging from Powershare.



  • Schedule surgeries to include surgery posting and post op appointments: Weight Loss and Minimally invasive surgeries, using procedure pass to help with coordination, to include pre-anesthesia testing, surgery clearance, and multispecialty needs across the Duke system.


  • Provider responsibilities: managing providers Outlook calendar, provide time off, and scheduling/rescheduling provide appointments as needed.
  • Work closely with Durham team to coordinate patient and provider needs.

  • Help coordinate group sessions and seminars to include helping with setup and patient flow. Setting up the conference room.


  • Scanning medical record using solarity application and scanner.

  • MyChart messaging: Review inbasket pools consistently and daily, reply to patients and providers in a timely manner, and working alongside the CMA to review and complete.


  • Work with service access team on the weight loss workque.



JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS




  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.


  • One year of clerical, office support, or related experience is required; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. Healthcare office experience is preferred.

  • Epic experience preferred.



  • Powershare experience preffered.



  • Appointment / Provider scheduling experience preferred.



  • Knowledge of Prior Authorizations preferred.





JOB HOURS

The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
