NV5 is hiring Assistant Resident Engineers and Lead Construction Inspectors to support exciting transportation and infrastructure projects across California. Opportunities are available in the Central Valley, including Fresno, Visalia, Sacramento and Bakersfield, as well as the Greater Los Angeles Area, Inland Empire and San Diego. Responsibilities NV5 is seeking a Construction Inspector with 3-5 years of field experience supporting public infrastructure, transit, or aviation construction projects. Candidates with heavy civil transportation experience and familiarity with Caltrans plans, specifications and construction practices are strongly preferred. The ideal candidate has excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with contractors, engineers, inspectors and public-agency representatives. Knowledge of aviation-industry practices and regulations is a valuable plus. Key Responsibilities
Perform daily field inspections of construction activities, materials and workmanship
Qualifications
The pay range for this California position is $50.00- $80.00 per hour. Base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
