Responsibilities

  • The Ultrasound Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of the ultrasound department to ensure safe, efficient, and high quality patient care.
  • This role manages patient scheduling, call rotation, staffing assignments, and vacation planning to maintain consistent workflow coverage and meet departmental demand.
  • The supervisor ensures all ultrasound equipment is properly maintained, functioning, and documented according to regulatory and departmental standards.
  • In addition to supporting technologists during ultrasound procedures, the Ultrasound Supervisor assists in ensuring that supplies, protocols, and procedural documentation are accurate, up to date, and aligned with best practices.
  • This position serves as a liaison between staff, physicians, and Diagnostic Imaging leadership to promote strong communication, service excellence, and a positive team culture.
  • The supervisor provides day to day guidance to the ultrasound team, supports performance expectations, and helps maintain compliance with safety, quality, and patient experience standards within BSA Health System.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned by Diagnostic Imaging leadership to support departmental and organizational goals.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Associate'sdegree in eithersonography or radiologic technology.
  • ARDMSorARRT (S)orARRT (R) + MRT
  • Must obtain ARDMS within 1 year of employment.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree ina relevant field.
