Are you an experienced manager, community leader, or operations professional looking to grow your career in assisted living or senior living management? Mulberry Place Independent & Assisted Living Apartments in Bloomfield, Iowa is seeking an Assisted Living Director to lead our senior living community, support our team, and ensure our tenants receive exceptional experience.

Located near Ottumwa, Iowa, this is a great leadership opportunity for someone with experience in assisted living, senior living, healthcare administration, operations management, property management, hospitality, or community-based services.

As the Assisted Living Director, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of Mulberry Place and serve as a key point of connection for our tenants, families, employees, and community.

What You'll Do

• Build positive relationships with tenants, families, employees, and community partners

• Lead, support, and engage the Mulberry Place team

• Maintain organized and accurate tenant files and required documentation

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the assisted and independent living community

• Help ensure tenant services are delivered consistently and professionally

• Support employee communication, accountability, and a positive workplace culture

• Participate in community outreach and help promote Mulberry Place within the Bloomfield and Southeast Iowa communities

• Utilize Microsoft Office and other systems to support documentation, communication, and operational needs

• Partner with facility and organizational leadership to maintain high standards of service, safety, and tenant satisfaction

We are looking for someone who is organized, approachable, dependable, and genuinely enjoys working with people.

Successful candidates should have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent

• Previous experience in leadership, business, healthcare, senior living, hospitality, property management, customer service, or another related field

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong organizational skills with attention to documentation and record maintenance

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

• The ability to build positive relationships with employees, tenants, families, and community members

• A willingness to be visible and involved within the community

Previous assisted living or senior living experience and Assisted Living Manager certification are preferred but not required. Previous experience as an Assisted Living Manager, Senior Living Manager, Community Manager, Executive Director, Operations Manager, Property Manager, or other people-focused leadership role is a plus, but we welcome candidates with transferable leadership experience.
