Requisition Number: 74142 Location: Boulder, Colorado City Boulder State Colorado Employment Type: Research Faculty Schedule: Part-Time Posting Close Date: 14-Aug-2026 Date Posted: 12-Aug-2026 Close All Job Summary The Hernandez Aerobiology & Disinfection Laboratory has been implementing the project Characterization and Control of Indoor Air Pollution and Heat Stress in the Adams 14 School District. This project seeks to distribute portable air cleaners to all district classrooms as well as assess levels and characterize VOCs in the classroom. In support of this project, the group seeks a part-time analyst to compile and analyze various sources of outdoor temporal air quality data as well as to create a report on the pilot test of remote monitoring equipment for portable air cleaner operational status. Our main hope from this is to understand how Suncor exceedance days are picked up throughout the district on various in-house and third party monitoring systems. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be Overlay time-series graph of pollution episodes with data from 1) Suncor, 2) A14SD Attune Outdoor Monitors, 3) Onterris CCND Air Monitoring Program, and 4) CDPHE mobile air quality lab to examine how exceedance days impact outdoor air quality across the district, to create a timeline of high pollution days based on our four different outdoor data sources. If time permits, this will include data from Suncor's fenceline monitoring system. Create a final report summarizing the HEPA remote monitoring pilot study in A14SD. What We Can Offer The hire rate associate with this part-time position is $28.00 per hour. Relocation assistance is not available. Previous experience working on Colorado school air quality monitoring projects and collecting and analyzing air quality data. Strong data analysis and visualization skills.
