Job Summary
This is an Inside Sales & Service Representative - Rental Coordinator position based out of the Pomona, CA Customer Center.
This role is responsible for the equipment rental business across 3 Customer Centers in California and Arizona. Responsibilities include establishing and growing rental revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This role will partner closely with Account Managers and Area Leadership on the development of actions and strategies to drive Rental Services growth and standard work across the region.
Responsibilities
- Act as key customer contact to provide information to customers on rental services from order acceptance through delivery.?
- Create and manage rental contracts to ensure paperwork is accurate and complete.
- Accurately enter, manage and balance new equipment sales and service agreements.
- Partner with branch offices on logistics including dispatching and return of rental assets and coordination of asset transfers between locations.
- Develop rental business by optimizing rental fleet, building relationships with other rental companies, and partnering with Account Managers to market our fleet to Ingersoll Rand and competitive accounts.
- Responsible for monthly and quarterly forecasting of rental revenue, rental invoicing, payables for re-rent assets, and periodic reconciliation of rental assets.
- Develop Area network of freight carriers to reduce dispatch time of rental assets.
- Partner with Area Service and Operations Leaders to develop standard work around after-hours customer support, quoting, & dispatch of emergency rental requests.
- Upon return of equipment, ensure timely delivery of receiving, inspection, and servicing of equipment.
- Achieve operational excellence to improve customer satisfaction and business performance (revenue and profitability), and develop and maintain rental assets KPIs.
- Ensure environmental health and safety compliance.
- Serve as a backup to Inside Sales team as needed to include handling inbound customer requests to generate sales of compressed air products, parts, and services.
- Basic warehouse functions including loading/unloading trucks using equipment, receiving and labeling inventory, packing/shipping products, and adjusting/moving products systemically and physically for both services and sales.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications required; ability to navigate internal software programs will be needed after hire.
- This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, and kneeling.
It requires employees to regularly lift and or move weight limits in line with the safety policy.

Pay Range:
The total pay range for this role, not including incentive opportunities, is [$5,000 - $85,000]. The pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that include a candidate's skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location. Hired applicant will be eligible to receive (discretionary/nondiscretionary) annual bonuses and incentive compensation.
Preferences
- Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering or a similar technical field
- Technical background
- Experience using Salesforce or other CRM, and Oracle
- Forklift certification a plus but not required (we'll certify you!)
