| Job Description |
ECU Department of Student Engagement is currently seeking several Front Desk Assistants.
Students working in this position will serve as the first face students will see when entering the suite. Students working in this position will be approachable and willing to help student organizations leaders in the best way they can. Front Desk Assistant will assist with office functions such as: answering phones, picking up mail and packages, making copies for student organizations, giving student organization leaders access to lockers. These students will also be able to answer basic questions as it relates to Fraternity and Sorority Life councils and student organizations. Furthermore, students working in this position will become specialist of the Pirate Experience platform. They will be able to instruct tutorials/101s for student organizations on the basic functions of the Pirate Experience to aid in the successful management of their student organization, etc. Front Desk Assistant will also monitor the student engagement email account, checking the email throughout each shift, answering emails when possible, and/or forwarding emails to the proper channels when necessary such as specific questions about Greek organizations to the Fraternity and Sorority Life email and questions about general student organizations to the Student Organization Center email. Front Desk Assistant will aid in helping to maintain the cleanliness of the Student Engagement suite which will include helping to clean tables, straighten chairs, and ultimately making sure at the beginning and ending of each shift, the office reflects cleanliness.
Other
Front Desk Assistant may also be asked to participate in marketing, posting on social media, monitoring social media, and assisting with office branding. Students will participate in preparation for upcoming campus activities, involvement fairs, and programs. Students will perform other tasks as assigned. |
