Employment Type: Temp to Hire

Compensation: $28-$32/hr DOE
Schedule: 9/80 Schedule with every other Friday off

The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for performing a variety of mechanical assembly operations in a defense manufacturing environment. This position involves assembling components and subassemblies using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and production equipment in accordance with engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and established work instructions.

What You'll Do:
  • Perform mechanical assembly operations according to blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Assemble mechanical components, parts, and subassemblies using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, diagrams, and written instructions.
  • Determine and follow the proper sequence of operations for assigned assembly tasks.
  • Set up and adjust tools, fixtures, and equipment as required to complete assembly operations.
  • Measure and verify dimensions using precision measuring tools to ensure assemblies meet specified tolerances.
  • Install, align, fasten, and secure mechanical components and hardware.
  • Inspect completed work for proper fit, alignment, workmanship, and compliance with specifications.
  • Identify straightforward assembly problems and make appropriate adjustments or escalate issues to the supervisor.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years experience of mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
  • Ability to work with small parts and perform detailed assembly work.
