Job Summary

The Application Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise web applications across .NET backend and Angular frontend technologies. This role develops applications that support a large user base and works closely with product teams, architects, and QA to deliver reliable, maintainable solutions. The position requires strong full-stack capabilities across C#, ASP.NET Core, Angular, TypeScript, SQL Server, and Azure DevOps, with an emphasis on application quality, production support, and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities



  • Design and implement REST APIs and backend services using ASP.NET Core and C#.
  • Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces using Angular and TypeScript.
  • Optimize SQL Server queries and maintain database schemas.
  • Develop and maintain unit and integration tests to support application quality.
  • Support applications throughout the development lifecycle, from sprint planning through production deployment.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across development, staging, and production environments.
  • Participate in code reviews and promote maintainable development practices.
  • Refactor and modernize existing applications.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies and development practices.
  • Collaborate with product teams, architects, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver application features.
  • Communicate technical concepts and trade-offs effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Job Requirements



  • 5 years of professional software development experience or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong experience with C# and ASP.NET Core, including REST APIs, service-oriented architecture, and dependency injection.
  • Experience with Angular 18+ and TypeScript, including modern component design and reactive forms.
  • Experience with SQL Server, including query optimization, stored procedures, and database design.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, including source control, work item tracking, and CI/CD pipeline management.
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks such as xUnit or NUnit and integration testing.
  • Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments, including sprint planning, estimation, and backlog grooming.
  • Ability to take ownership of features from requirements through production deployment.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to develop maintainable, testable, and reliable software.


Education



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.


Work Experience



  • 5 years of professional software development experience or equivalent practical experience.
