Summary

An Integrated Planning &Control Planneris responsible forcoordinating material planning,production planning, and contractuallogisticssupport to ensure operational execution aligns with the program& customerrequirements. They analyze demand, develop integrated schedules, manageprogram inventory levels,andmonitorprogress to keep plans on track.The roleincludes coordination acrossfunctions i.e.;engineering, manufacturing/production,supply chain,logistics, and material management teamsto balance resources, mitigaterisks, and support on-time delivery and costobjectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring that all required materials and services are efficiently processed through supply chain in a manner that supports program/projectidentifiedintegration dates.
  • The candidate willbe responsiblefordevelopingandutilizingmetrics for continued performance measurement and process improvement
  • Buildlogisticssupport plans aligned with program schedules and life-cycle requirements
  • Coordinate Logistics for maintenancecycles, repairs, spares, and sustainment activities
  • Manage inventory levels to meet contractual service levels while minimizing cost
  • Prepares the necessary documentation for items being shipped out of plant
  • Expedites items being shipped to customer sitesand/or vendors
  • Adviseprogrammanagement of thehardwarestatusforwork in progress, material availability, and potential production problems
  • Confirm material supply and demands usingMaterial Requirements Planning (MRP)system, preparepurchase requisitionsandmanufacturingorders of material based on amanufacturing/production scheduleandinventory requirements.
  • Analyzedemandsignals, material forecasts, production schedules, and historical data todeterminematerial needs
  • Monitor and controlmaterial and labor budgeted costas aCost Account Manager (CAM)in accordance withprogramand organizational financial requirements
  • Supply raw material requirements and scheduling needs from engineering specifications, production schedules and coordinates material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production.
  • Understanding of Bill of Materials (BOMs) along with a solid knowledge of Engineering Technical Data (drawings, specs, Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)andproductionschedules
  • Extracts various reports frominternal businesssystems to evaluate priorities
  • Interfaces continuously with Mechanical Engineers (MEs),Industrial Engineers (IEs),Program Schedulers, Operation Program Managers (OPMs),and Subcontract Program Managers (SPMs)todeterminechanges to existing productionschedules,material requirements,and manufacturing orders.
  • Communicates within and outside of own function or business area and has responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization (e.g., customers, vendors, etc.) when necessary. Explains, interprets, and gains cooperation on policies,proceduresand practices.
  • The candidate will alsobe responsible forensuring compliance with the Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS) DFAR requirement within CAE USA.
  • Professional with strong knowledge of job area and broad knowledge of project management. Manages complex projects and processes with general oversight.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • AssociatesBusiness or Technical Degreein a closely related disciplineor equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of3 - 5years' experience inProduction Planning,Material Planning, SupplyChainorrelated functions.
  • Experience in Aerospace/AviationProduction Planning, Material Planning, Manufacturing or Simulation environment, preferred.
  • Minimum of3 - 5years' experiencewith MRP and ERP systems
  • Experience with DFAR, MMAS, and AS9100 compliance

Security Responsibilities

Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Work Environment

  • Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed, including occasional weekends.
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc...

Physical Demands

  • Must have ability to sit for long periods of time
  • May be required to climb stairs.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer and communicate via e-mail/telephone.
  • Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
