Overview

Leads key provider relationships across the region. This role is responsible for driving network performance, value-based outcomes, and membership growth through strategic provider contracting, performance management, and collaboration with Hospital systems, Federally Qualified Health Centers, IPAs and other home care providers and partners. The ideal candidate brings health plan experience, strong organizational skills, and a creative, solution-oriented approach to complex provider and market challenges.

What You Will Do:

* Develops and executes the long-term provider partnership strategy for the Upstate region, aligning network development with organizational growth objectives and enterprise priorities.
* Establishes strategic priorities for provider partnerships that strengthen market position, improve access, and advance value-based care.
* Accountable for the overall performance of the Upstate provider network, including quality, access, provider satisfaction, utilization, and total cost of care.
* Directs initiatives to achieve regional performance, growth, and financial objectives through strategic provider partnerships.
* Establishes regional value based contracting priorities and negotiation strategies aligned with enterprise network goals.
* Serves as the executive sponsor for strategically significant provider partnerships.
* Leads negotiations for high-impact provider agreements and provides final business recommendations to executive leadership.
* Exercises decision-making authority for regional provider partnership priorities and strategic business relationships.
* Serves as the executive sponsor for strategically significant provider partnerships and vendor relationships.
* Drives negotiations for high-impact value-based provider agreements and provides final business recommendations to executive leadership.
* Exercises decision-making authority for regional provider partnership priorities and strategic business relationships.
* Liaises with Social Care Networks serving the greater upstate area.
* Serve as Upstate point person for interaction with regional Social Care Networks (SCNs) and other state and federal programs.
* Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor's Degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field, or equivalent experience required

Work Experience:

Minimum 7 years of experience in provider relations, contracting, network management, or performance management within a health plan or managed care environment required
Demonstrated experience working with home care services, community-based providers, and/or long-term services and supports (LTSS) required
Experience supporting membership growth through provider network expansion, market development, or strategic partnerships required
Strong understanding of value-based contracting, quality metrics, cost and utilization, and provider performance improvement required
Highly organized with strong project management and prioritization skills required
Creative problem solver with the ability to operate effectively in complex, multi-stakeholder environments required
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence provider and executive leadership required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint required


Pay Range

USD $154,400.00 - USD $205,800.00 /Yr.
