Reimagine What's Possible Air Products and Chemicals Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for a Site Supervisor having responsibility for Generated Gases on-site plants in the Southern Washington / Oregon area. The role consists of direct responsibility over five generated gas facilities within the Southern Washington and Oregon area. This role will require the candidate to gain an understanding of all aspects of the site's responsibilities with a specific focus on leadership skills. Initial focus of responsibilities will include supervision of all aspects of the air separation plant operations, maintenance, safety, environmental and record-keeping. Candidate would be a productive member of the Pacific Northwest Operations Team thus would be encouraged to provide support as needed. These sites are operated and maintained by a single supervisor. (Camas, WA. Tualatin, OR. Hillsboro, OR. Albany, OR. and Bend, OR.)

Responsibilities:
- Safety performance, Basic Safety Process compliance and process safety management.
- Support of all aspects of the day-to-day operation, including solving plant process problems, directly supervising daily plant activities and driving plant projects.
- Solving plant process or mechanical problems, coordinating maintenance activities, driving plant efficiency and plant projects
- 24/7 on-call responsibilities for response to plant alarms and shutdowns-Identifying maintenance concerns, developing and implementing corrective/preventive measures while working within planned maintenance budgets
- Working and presenting regularly and optimally with the North America Operating Service Center (OSC), asset manager, regional maintenance manager, tech support team and Puyallup Site Manager
- Working with the Puyallup Operations team and other area Gen Gas Supervisors in covering vacation and outage support.
- Perform and maintain all administrative responsibilities for the sites
- Working with support resources to achieve efficiency targets in all areas.
- Identifying maintenance concerns, then developing and implementing corrective / preventative measures.
- Talk to tactical planning and delivery logistics planning to ensure inventory management of the facility's products.
- Develop and build a positive relationship with our customers.
Candidates for this position will be evaluated on the basis of the following:
- Deliver all objectives safely and achieve 100% compliance with Air Products' safety requirements.
- A track record of success in EH&S and Quality.
- A self-starter with tried leadership abilities. Self-led and highly motivated to plan and ensure the execution of all tasks required by our safety, environmental and engineering standards.
- Strong operating experience in similar plants or operations of similar complexity with a talent for effectively identifying and troubleshooting problems.
- Experience with operation of gen gas and air separation fractional distillation processes is a plus but not a specific requirement as training will be provided for the successful candidate.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Working independently with equal ability to work optimally as part of a team.
- Maintenance experience in an industrial plant a plus.
- Electrical and/or instrumentation experience a plus.
- Proven digital literacy.
Minimum Hiring Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Certificate in process technology or maintenance field (preferred) or 2 years minimum in a manufacturing/production, processing or chemical/ petrochemical environment. Participants in Skills USA are encouraged to apply.
- Strong instruments, electrical and or mechanical proficiency is desired.
- Shown dedication to safety and continuous improvement
- Must be a self-starter and willing to work alone or as part of a team.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the US without current or future sponsorship (e.g. temporary work visa or work permit).
