The Cross Carline and Project Engineering Team is a critical part of the vehicle development with responsibly to ensure overall program level feasibility and target setting. Working with cross-functional leadership, the CCL Planning Manager is responsible for the achievement of project timing, labor and investment objectives of the vehicle. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Implements and coordinates the general and detailed (by phase) scheduling of the project /program
- Ensure timing consistency in execution
- Ensures that labor, validation, and prototype financial targets are achieved
- Create and manage bulletins and bulletin responses
- Manages vehicle build plan and delivery to support vehicle validation requirements
- Manages the commercial launch plan (volumes and dates) with the brand(s), the plant(s) and the chasing department
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- 8 years of automotive development experience
- Excellent communication and program management skills
- Ability to simplify complex engineering topics, develop and deliver a presentation concisely
- Ability to make quick decisions using sound engineering logic
- Well-developed problem-solving skills
- Ability to define the engineering logic behind system packaging layout solutions in the context of the vehicle/platform
- Work effectively and manage non-direct reports across multiple unique disciplines
- Must be a highly motivated, detail oriented, and a self-directed process thinker
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Strong written and presentation skills are a must
- Ability to interface with all levels of management
- Familiarity with automotive systems, components, and vehicle testing/validation processes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Program lifecycle experience
- Experience in resident/quality engineering
- Experience in various BICEEP disciplines
