Position Title: Maintenance Technician
Wage: $26.00 - $30.00/hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 3:00pm - 1:00am (Monday - Thursday) We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support operations at a food processing facility in Plover, WI that transforms raw fruits and vegetables into powdered ingredients used in pet food production. This role is responsible for maintaining equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and ensuring safe, efficient plant operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on maintenance professional who thrives in a manufacturing environment and takes pride in keeping production equipment operating at peak performance. Maintenance Technician Responsibilities: - Perform preventative and routine maintenance on production and processing equipment - Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, conveyor, and motor systems - Respond promptly to equipment issues and breakdowns to minimize production downtime - Conduct equipment inspections and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability - Complete maintenance work orders and documentation accurately - Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvement projects - Maintain compliance with food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards - Collaborate with production and operations teams to support manufacturing goals Requirements for Maintenance Technician: - Proven maintenance experience in a food manufacturing or food processing environment required - Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities - Experience working with conveyors, motors, pumps, and processing equipment - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Valid driver's license required - Vocational training, technical certification, or apprenticeship in a related field preferred QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
