Life Support Instructor 5 (PRN)

Inova Well is looking for a dedicated Life Support Instructor 5 to join our team. This role will be PRN, Days Vary

The Life Support Instructor 5 teaches Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). This role supports the Inova Health System/ Inova Well American Heart Association Training Center, teaching ACLS and PALS classes while providing the highest quality learning environment and educational instruction for the health system and community healthcare professionals.

Life Support Instructor 5 Job Responsibilities:

• Teaches Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Performs necessary administrative functions in accordance with educational program policies.
• Ensures equipment is well maintained and in working order.
• Must have excellent AHA record keeping skills, completing AHA skill sheets and paperwork.
• Maintains professional status to ensure the highest quality educational programs.
• Adheres to AHA and Inova Health System/ Inova Well Training Center policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Certification: Must hold a current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Instructor card and a current American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Instructor card upon start.
• Experience: Must have 3 Teaching Minimum of 3 years teaching ACLS and PALS. Must have a experience in clinical setting for example; EMS, EMT, RN, LPN, RT etc

PRN Shift Availability:

• Classes are usually 1 day weekly or 2 consecutive days a week for 2-day classes, 2-3 times a month (average minimum of 8 days a month)
