Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. Global Power Components is a privately held, financially sound, growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures, and modular metal enclosures for housing fully-equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. We are seeking a detail-oriented Weld Tester to join our manufacturing team in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for verifying the integrity and quality of welded fuel tanks through pressure testing, leak detection, and repair support to ensure products meet our high standards before shipment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform pressure testing on welded fuel tanks to verify product quality and integrity.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and locate leaks or defects in welded assemblies.
• Complete minor weld repairs and leak corrections as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain accurate testing records and communicate findings to production leadership.
• Work closely with welders and fabrication teams to resolve quality concerns.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.

Requirements:

• MIG welding experience required.
• Experience testing fuel tanks, pressure vessels, or similar welded products preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve production-related issues.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must pass a welding competency test and pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
