Training Schedule (Required)
- 1st Shift (Monday - Friday)
- 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Schedule:
- 1st Shift (Monday - Thursday)
- 4:00 AM- 2:30 PM
What You'll Do
- Perform quality control testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished goods
- Collect and prepare samples for third-party laboratory testing
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation (pH meters, titrators, Brix/density tools, etc.)
- Communicate quality data and provide guidance to production teams
- Complete all documentation (MMRs, logs, test records) accurately and in real time following Good Documentation Practices
- Support audits from regulatory and third-party organizations
- Conduct environmental monitoring and testing programs
- Assist with calibration programs and customer complaint investigations
- Cross-train to ensure full quality coverage across operations
- Follow and enforce all GMPs, food safety, and sanitation standards
- Support operations through flexibility and overtime as needed
- Perform all other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in a Quality Control role (food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or similar preferred)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Must be reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Office programs
Must operate with a high sense of urgency and accuracy. This role requires real-time testing, documentation, and immediate response to quality deviations. Delays, missed details, or incomplete documentation can impact product quality and compliance. Individuals who are not detail-oriented, proactive, and highly accountable will not be successful in this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of laboratory experience with instrumentation (pH meters, titrators, Brix/density, etc.)
- Knowledge of GMPs, food safety & quality standards
- Experience in food, beverage, bottling, canning, high-speed packaging, or other regulated manufacturing environments
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift)
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle and operate tools and equipment
- Bending, kneeling, climbing (on ladders/mezzanines up to 20 feet high), and reaching as needed
- Ability to lift, carry, move, push, or pull up to 50lbs on an occasional basis
Pay & Benefits
- Starting Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour, with higher starting rates offered based on experience and qualifications
