Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP seeks a highly qualified Counsel track attorney to join its Mass Torts Practice Group in Winston-Salem, NC. This position will be part of a growing team of regulatory attorneys and scientists primarily focused on supporting clients that are regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The practice presents ample opportunity for learning new areas of adjacent law, and requires flexibility to support dynamic client needs.


Candidates must have excellent law school and undergraduate academic credentials. The ideal candidate will have exceptional oral and written communication skills, federal regulatory submissions and compliance experience, experience with the Administrative Procedure Act and notice and comment rulemaking, and a strong scientific and technical background. Candidates with experience in some of these areas and willing to learn others will be considered.

It is essential that the successful candidate have the skill, knowledge, and ability to conduct research and apply laws, court decisions, scientific literature, and administrative agency documents in order to provide exceptional advocacy and counsel. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively and cooperatively with attorneys, scientists, paralegals, legal practice assistants and staff.

This position is not eligible for fully remote work. Full-time on-site work is preferred, though hybrid configurations of 1-2 days per week may be considered.

Candidates must be licensed in North Carolina, willing to take the next available North Carolina bar exam, or be eligible to seek admission without examination. Candidate must be willing to travel for conferences, regulatory meetings, and other proceedings as necessary.
