MAINTENANCE MECHANIC A (NIGHTS)

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES PERFORMED BY THE INCUMBENT

• Maintaining robotic systems, vision systems, bar code verification equipment, and line control management
• Troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical and programming components, including PLC, servo drives and related components, as used in manufacturing and packaging equipment
• Properly resourcing and using manuals, SOPs, specifications, vendor contacts, and other workplace aids
• Completing corrective actions and preventative actions to include predictive maintenance
• Actively communicating equipment status, work assignments and other related information with manufacturing and other cross functional stakeholders.
• Preparing documents to include maintenance, quality, production change control requirements, and other documents/reports as deemed appropriate
• Promoting safe work practices
• Competing assigned training in a timely manner
• Training new and existing personnel as required
• Participating in workplace continuous improvement projects
• Monitoring the work of others to include OEM technicians and contracted vendors
• Scheduling, organizing work methods, materials and parts
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a high school education and be able to read, write and perform mathematics at a level to be able to complete technical work. Prefer additional technical education.
• Must have four years of experience in a highly technical environment.
• Must have working knowledge of power transfer technology including mechanics, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Must have good working knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Prefer experience in a highly regulated environment.
